On November 15, 2024, the international competition World Cheese Awards 2024 was held in Viseu, Portugal, bringing together the best cheeses from around the world.
In this year's competition, Naxos PDO Graviera Pittara was named the Best Greek Cheese for 2024, worthily representing Greece in one of the most distinguished competitions in the industry.
A total of 4,786 cheeses from 47 countries competed, evaluated by 240 international experts. The validity and reliability of the 30-year-old institution is reinforced by the diverse composition of the judging panel. The judges come from various sectors of the dairy industry, such as food technology, retail, journalism, cooking, and production, and the panel is renewed annually to ensure balance and representativeness.
