Greek Citizen Protection Minister Michalis Chryssochoidis and Chinese Public Security Minister Wang Xiaohong signed a bilateral police collaboration agreement during a meeting at the Greek Ministry of Citizen Protection yesterday.

The agreement reinforces cooperation between Greece and China on addressing shared challenges, including combating organised and financial crimes, drug trafficking, and managing illegal migration. Both sides committed to exchanging information, technical expertise, and training programs to enhance the operational capabilities of their police forces.

Chryssochoidis proposed establishing a coordinating committee to streamline and prioritize actions against organised crime, aiming to improve efficiency and effectiveness in tackling these issues.

The meeting in Athens included senior officials from both countries’ police forces, China’s ambassador to Greece, and high-ranking Greek police and ministry representatives. The agreement reflects the strong partnership between Greece and China in ensuring social stability and public security.
