In Ampelokipi, a 39-year-old man killed his wife with a hammer and concealed her body in the attic for a week. The incident took place late Thursday night or early Friday morning, when the man fatally struck his wife in the head. He then continued with daily activities, taking their two children, aged 9 and 12, to school and later to his sister’s home. Throughout this period, the children reportedly asked about their mother.
It wasn’t until a week later, on Thursday afternoon, that the man confessed to the crime. He called the police and admitted to killing his wife in their apartment on Lakonias Street, detailing that he had hidden her body in the attic wrapped in nylon. Authorities, upon arrival, arrested him and began an investigation.

A medical examiner was called to the scene, and the woman’s body was retrieved by a funeral service. While the primary cause of death was the head injuries from the hammer, there is unconfirmed speculation about possible suffocation as well. The investigation continues to uncover the full circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
