Ilektra Varanaki, a student at the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia’s Greek Language School, has been named the initial recipient of the Gonis Gardiakos Scholarship.
This scholarship, established in memory of the late Bill Gonis OAM, who was a former President of the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia (GOCSA), is designed to support young students in continuing their Greek language education through high school. Ilektra will have her community school fees covered for five years, encouraging her to remain engaged in Greek language studies.

Her parents, Marianda Kaouri and Manousos Varanakis, expressed their pride and gratitude to the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia for their generous support. This scholarship reflects a commitment to fostering connections with Greek culture and heritage among the younger generation.
Congratulations to Ilektra on this remarkable achievement, and best wishes for her future endeavors. Καλή πρόοδο και καλή σταδιοδρομία!
