The atmosphere crackled with excitement as Liberty IT CEO John Dimitropoulos welcomed the esteemed guests, including the Consul General of Greece in Sydney, Yiannis Mallikourtis, a prominent supporter from Business Sydney, Paul Nicolaou, and Nick Mouzourakis of the Football Brilliance Academy, acknowledging the Academy's vital role in organising the event. The arrival of the legendary players ignited the room, a testament to their enduring legacy and the impact of that historic victory.

Olympus, Sydney's newest Greek restaurant, nestled within the recently launched $500 million Wunderlich Lane precinct, provided the perfect backdrop for this special occasion. Officially opened by Lord Mayor Clover Moore and State Minister Sophie Cotsis the day before, Olympus, owned by Jonathan Barthelmess and Sam Christie, is quickly establishing itself as a premier destination for authentic Greek cuisine and hospitality.

Greece's victory in the UEFA Euro 2004 tournament was one of international football's most surprising and historic triumphs. The team, under the management of German coach Otto Rehhagel, won the championship by relying on a disciplined, well-organized defence, effective counterattacking play, and exceptional teamwork.
