According to initial information, the “blackout” on the rails occurred due to a train that stopped and was immobilized at the Analipsi station due to technical problems. As stated by passengers on makthes.gr, this led to the immobilization of all trains for at least 10 minutes. Subsequently, the Metro management requested that passengers refrain from moving eastward.
Once they were finally informed about what had happened, the doors of the train opened, and passengers were forced to walk through the tunnel to reach the platform of the next station on foot.
Service towards the west resumed at approximately 18:15.
