ANCIENT GREEK SOLDIERS: PROTECTED BY LINEN ARMOUR!

Far from being fragile, this linen armour was durable, lightweight, and strong enough to protect them from weapons during battle.

Did you know that Ancient Greek soldiers, including warriors of Alexander the Great, wore armour made from layers of glued linen called Linothorax?

🔍 What Made Linothorax Special?

Made by layering linen and treating it with resin or glue, it created a hardened material.

Lightweight and flexible, it allowed soldiers to move freely. Its strength was comparable to metal armour, offering solid protection against arrows and blades.
