A 33-year-old French man has been charged with manslaughter after a shocking incident in Crete resulted in the death of a 36-year-old woman.

The tragedy unfolded on Wednesday afternoon in Anopolis, Hersonissos, when the man reportedly accelerated his car, struck the woman, and fled the scene.

The victim, gravely injured, was rushed to Venizelio Hospital in Heraklion but tragically succumbed to her wounds. Authorities quickly launched an investigation, leading to the apprehension of the suspect with the help of local residents.

The Perpetrator’s Shocking Confession
