An earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale was recorded in Halkidiki on Tuesday morning, causing brief concern but no immediate reports of damage.
According to Greece’s Geodynamic Institute, the epicentre was located 9 kilometres south of Nea Moudania, a coastal town in the region. The earthquake’s focal depth was measured at approximately 14 kilometers beneath the surface.
Residents in the area reported feeling the tremor, though its relatively low magnitude minimised its impact. Authorities continue to monitor the situation, urging the public to remain calm.
