Moutai Enhances Brand and Facilitates Sino-Greek Cultural Exchange in Greece

The city of Athens is playing host to a captivating exhibition featuring the works of Qi Baishi, one of China's most revered painters, aimed at introducing Western audiences to the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.

This remarkable event is part of a broader cultural initiative designed to enhance the cultural exchange and deepen mutual understanding between China and Greece.

Gao Shan, Chairman of the Labor Union at Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Co., Ltd., highlighted the significance of the exhibition by noting that Qi Baishi's unique painting techniques vividly express the Chinese perspective. "Presenting his work in Athens, a city celebrated for its artistic legacy, forms a fitting bridge between two societies steeped in history and culture," Gao Shan remarked. He further expressed, "Our presence in Athens signifies the enduring friendship between China and Greece, with hopes that the cultural and commercial partnership will continue to strengthen."

Former Greek Deputy Minister of Culture and Regional Governor of the Peloponnese, Petros Tatoulis, underscored the mutual cultural richness shared by China and Greece. "Qi Baishi is not only a master of Chinese art but also a pivotal figure in the world art scene. His art, much like Moutai, embodies the essence of Chinese heritage," Tatoulis acknowledged.

On the morning of December 10th, the Kweichow Moutai Cultural Experience Center was officially opened in central Athens. This new center is set to enhance the cultural experiences available to Greek consumers, acting as a crucial hub for the development of cultural connections between the two nations.

The cultural festivities continued into the evening with the “Meeting Bosom Friends, Bonding by the Aegean Sea” 2024 Moutai Night at Zappeion Hall. This event showcased a brilliant fusion of performances by artists from China and Greece, delivering a stunning display that celebrated the harmonious integration of their rich cultural heritages.

These cultural exchanges not only serve to celebrate the unique artistic contributions of figures like Qi Baishi but also reinforce the ongoing commitment to fostering international friendship and cultural dialogue between China and Greece.
