Frigate "Spetses" Returns to Salamis Naval Station After Completing EU Operation "Aspides"

The Hellenic Navy frigate Spetses has returned to the Salamis Naval Station, successfully concluding its mission as part of the European Union operation "Aspides" (EUNAVFORASPIDES).

As announced by the Hellenic Navy General Staff, the frigate was welcomed back with a visit from senior naval leadership. Chief of the Navy Vice Admiral Demetrios-Eleftherios Kataras PN, accompanied by Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Polychronis Koulouris PN, boarded the vessel upon its arrival to personally congratulate the captain and crew for the successful completion of their mission.

Operation "Aspides" underscores the European Union’s commitment to maritime security and highlights Greece’s active role in promoting stability in critical waterways. The Spetses’ participation exemplifies the Hellenic Navy's expertise and readiness to support international operations.
