A 41-year-old man from Georgia, wanted by Greek authorities, was arrested on Thursday evening by Limassol's bicycle police patrol and is set to appear in court on Friday.
According to police, a European arrest warrant had been issued for the man concerning an attempted theft in Thessaloniki.
The man had been tried in absentia and sentenced to five years and 11 months in prison in November.
On Thursday, he was spotted walking in the Ayia Zoni area of Limassol and arrested.
The man will appear before the Limassol District Court on Friday to begin the extradition process to Greece.
