When Do Greek Schools Reopen in 2025?

Greek schools will reopen on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, following the Christmas and New Year's holiday break. Students and teachers can look forward to several extended holiday periods throughout the year, including Easter and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

Greek schools will resume classes on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, following the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Students and teachers will enjoy a two-week break before returning to the classroom.

The 2025 academic year will include several extended holiday periods:

  • Three-day weekends:
    • January 1st-3rd (New Year's Day)
    • March 1st-3rd (Clean Monday)
    • April 19th-21st (Easter)
    • August 15th-17th (Assumption of the Virgin Mary)
    • December 25th-28th (Christmas)

These extended holiday periods will provide students and teachers with much-needed breaks throughout the year.
