The tragic incident occurred when a Jeju Airlines flight attempted a landing at Muan Airport, resulting in a catastrophic accident that claimed 179 lives.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic plane crash in South Korea. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the victims during this challenging time," read the statement.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. local time (2 a.m. Greek time) on Sunday, when a Jeju Airlines plane arriving from Bangkok attempted to land at Muan Airport in South Korea.
Unfortunately, the aircraft's landing gear did not deploy properly, resulting in a belly landing. It skidded across the runway, ultimately colliding with a wall and bursting into flames, claiming the lives of 179 passengers. Only two individuals survived the crash.
