The passengers, which included men, women, and minors, were safely transported to the port of Malagari and handed over to police authorities for further transfer to a migrant facility.

On Sunday morning, a Coast Guard patrol vessel discovered an inflatable boat transporting migrants northeast of Samos. The crew successfully rescued all 30 passengers—comprising 9 men, 9 women, and 12 minors—and safely transported them to the port of Malagari. The passengers were then handed over to officers from the Police Directorate for transfer to a migrant facility in Samos.
