A high-profile exhibition match between world number one Jannik Sinner and 2023 Australian Open finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas will take place on Friday, January 10th, on center court at Melbourne Park.
This friendly match is part of a series of events planned by the organizers of the first Grand Slam of the season, the week leading up to the tournament’s commencement (January 12th).

The two top-ranked players will have the opportunity to assess their form just days before vying for the title in Melbourne.
Tsitsipas and Sinner have faced each other nine times, with the Greek champion leading the head-to-head 6-3.
One of those victories came in the fourth round of the 2023 Australian Open, where Tsitsipas prevailed in five sets. At the time, Tsitsipas was ranked number 4 and Sinner number 16. Now, the Italian holds the top spot in the ATP rankings, while the Greek ace sits at number 11.
Sinner will also play an exhibition match against Alexei Popyrin on Tuesday, January 7th. Carlos Alcaraz will play two exhibition matches, against Alex de Minaur on January 8th and Popyrin on January 10th.
