Veria boasts several historical attractions, including the oldest synagogue in Northern Greece, the Veria Byzantine Museum, housed in a historic watermill, and the Archaeological Museum of Veria, showcasing Hellenistic and Roman artifacts. The Agios Patapios archaeological site reveals remnants of ancient and early Christian Veria, including a 4th-century Baptistery.

Mount Vermion, with over 70km of marked trails, is a haven for hikers and mountain bikers. The mountain also provides climbing, hang-gliding, and paragliding opportunities, with popular spots like 3-5 Pigadia and Makrohori.

During winter, Imathia transforms into a skiing destination with two well-known resorts on Mount Vermion: Seli and 3-5 Pigadia. Seli, with its long history, offers a range of slopes for different skill levels. 3-5 Pigadia, recently reopened, features modern facilities, including an artificial snow system, ensuring good skiing conditions.
