Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has thrown his full support behind captain Son Heung-min after the club extended the superstar’s contract until 2026.
Postecoglou emphasized the club’s ambition to secure silverware for Son, who has become a Spurs legend since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015. The 32-year-old South Korean forward has amassed an impressive 169 goals in 431 appearances, placing him fourth on Tottenham’s all-time scoring list. Despite sharing the Premier League Golden Boot in 2021/22, Son has yet to lift a major trophy with Spurs, who last tasted success in the 2008 League Cup. Postecoglou highlighted Son’s impact on the club and league, stating, “The current aim and ambition is to make sure he finishes his Tottenham career with some silverware.”

Meanwhile, Tottenham are reportedly eyeing a bold move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani. The Athletic reports that Spurs are exploring a January loan deal for the French international, who joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer for a hefty €90 million ($149m). Manchester United are also said to be interested in the forward. This potential acquisition comes as injury-hit Tottenham prepare to face in-form Liverpool in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
