The Israeli Security and Political Cabinet approved a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas on Friday, despite dissent from three ministers, as reported by Israeli Army Radio.

Comprising 11 ministers, the Security Cabinet voted on the agreement, which is slated for submission to the full Cabinet later in the day, with approval expected.

A statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office highlighted that, after considering all political, security, and humanitarian factors, the Ministerial Committee for National Security Affairs recommended the approval of the plan, stating it aligns with the war's objectives.

The Cabinet is set to reconvene later today for further discussions.

According to Israeli Army Radio, three ministers opposed the agreement: Bezalel Smotrich, the Finance Minister; Itamar Ben-Gvir, the National Security Minister; and David Amsalem, the Regional Cooperation Minister from the Likud Party.
