Tourist accommodation establishments in Greece welcomed 1,014,522 arrivals in November 2024, with a total of 2,279,499 nights spent, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
These figures represent a 2.9% increase in arrivals and a 3.5% rise in nights spent compared to November 2023.
Non-resident visitors drove much of this growth, with a 4.5% rise in arrivals and a 5.2% increase in nights spent compared to the previous year. Resident arrivals also showed positive momentum, rising by 1.6%, with nights spent up by 1.9%.
ELSTAT highlighted that residents accounted for 53.9% of total arrivals in November, while non-residents contributed significantly to overnight stays, comprising 50.2% of the total. The average stay across all accommodation types was 2.2 days.
This upward trend reflects Greece’s continued appeal as a year-round tourist destination, bolstered by its diverse offerings and growing attractiveness to international and domestic travelers alike.
