Panagiotou highlighted that Musk and Zuckerberg have criticised the EU for censoring and marginalizing posts. “We can’t talk about democracy if we only hear one side,” he stated, pointing out that some of the previously censored content has later turned out to be accurate. He suggested that inviting Musk and Zuckerberg to Parliament would enable a more thorough discussion on these matters.

This follows Musk's recent remarks at Donald Trump's inauguration, where social media users noted that a gesture he made resembled a Nazi salute. In his speech, Musk expressed his commitment to working for Trump’s supporters and called the victory “really important.” He concluded by thanking the crowd, placing his hand on his chest, and raising it in a salute.

Musk thanked the crowd for "making it happen", before placing his right hand over his heart and then thrusting the same arm out into air straight ahead of him.

"My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilisation is assured," he said.
