The Hellenic Initiative (THI) Australia is gearing up for a special 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner, celebrating a decade of impactful support for Greece during some of its most challenging times.
The prestigious event will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney, bringing together distinguished guests, including representatives of the Hellenic Republic, Australian Federal and State Parliament members, and community leaders.
THI Australia President, Nick Pappas AM, emphasised that the Gala will be more than just a celebration. “It will be a unique opportunity to showcase the extraordinary generosity and resilience of the Hellenic diaspora, which has been vital to Greece's recovery through THI’s initiatives,” he said.
Honouring Greek-Australian Excellence
A key highlight of the evening will be a special tribute to a remarkable Greek-Australian individual, who has made a significant contribution to THI's mission and to the broader community.

- Standard Ticket: $550 per person, $5,500 for a table of 10
- Premium Ticket: $1,000 per person, $10,000 for a premium table of 10
Proceeds from the event will support trusted partner charities working to aid Greece.
Entertainment and Performances
Guests will be treated to a captivating musical performance by renowned Greek artist Kostas Karafotis, alongside opportunities to dance and celebrate the ongoing efforts of THI.
A Decade of Impact
Over the past decade, THI Australia’s efforts have made a tangible difference in Greece. Notable achievements include:
- In partnership with Doctors of the World Greece, providing essential healthcare to over 14,000 people, with more than 26,500 visits to Athens' Open Polyclinic in just four years.
- Collaborating with Boroume Saving Food Saving Lives to collect over 1,000 tonnes of fresh produce, combating food insecurity for countless families in Athens and Thessaloniki.
