Netflix Announces Price Increases Amid Record Growth in Subscribers

A few hours ago, Netflix officially announced an increase in the prices of its subscription plans, starting in the United States and other countries. At the same time, it was revealed that the platform gained 19 million new subscribers by the end of 2024.

Netflix Raises Prices Once Again

The price hikes will initially affect the United States, Canada, Argentina, and Portugal. For now, it remains uncertain whether other countries, such as Greece, will also see an increase in subscription costs.

The price increases were announced during Netflix's presentation of its fourth-quarter 2024 financial results. The company reported a record-breaking 19 million new subscribers for the quarter and 16% revenue growth. Netflix now has over 300 million paying subscribers worldwide and anticipates continued growth in 2025.
