Η Google ξεκινά τρισδιάστατη χαρτογράφηση στην Ελλάδα technewsingreek.gr

Google has announced that from February 4 to October 30, 2025, it will conduct 3D mapping in various regions of Greece, including Attica, Crete, Epirus, Western Macedonia, Macedonia, Thrace, the Peloponnese, Western Greece, the Ionian, the Aegean, Thessaly, and Central Greece.

Specially equipped vehicles marked with the “Google Street View” logo will collect data to update Google Maps and Street View services. Before the images are published on Google Maps, faces and license plates will be blurred to protect privacy.

Citizens can report instances where the blurring is insufficient or request additional blurring of their residences. According to current legislation, individuals can submit objections and request the deletion of their data. Google commits to processing these requests within five days.

This initiative aims to improve Google Maps’ accuracy and detail, providing users with a more realistic and up-to-date navigation experience. For more information, click here.
