Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas delivered a commanding performance at the Rotterdam Open, securing a 2-0 (6-1, 7-5) victory over France’s Harold Mayot to comfortably advance to the tournament’s second round.

Displaying his best form of the year, the World No. 12 dominated the match, overpowering his opponent with 30 winners and 27 unforced errors, while Mayot managed just 8 winners and 24 unforced errors.

A key highlight of Tsitsipas’ dominance was his impenetrable service game—he did not face a single break point, while repeatedly breaking Mayot’s serve. His aggressive start saw him race to a 4-0 lead, setting the tone for a 6-1 first set victory with remarkable precision.

The second set was more competitive, with both players holding serve until 5-5. However, Tsitsipas found another gear, breaking Mayot at a crucial moment before confidently serving out the match at 7-5.

With this impressive opening-round win, Tsitsipas now awaits his next opponent, who will emerge from the clash between Tallon Griekspoor and Matteo Berrettini—with the Italian being the slight favourite.

Can Tsitsipas maintain his momentum and make a deep run in Rotterdam? Greek fans will be eagerly watching.
