A violent altercation in the city of Patras has left a 43-year-old man in serious condition after being stabbed in the head and neck by his 67-year-old neighbour late on Friday night.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear as authorities continue their investigation.
The incident took place on Anthoupoleos Street, causing panic among local residents. According to reports, the two men, who lived in the same building, had a strained relationship. The altercation escalated into a brutal attack, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.
Strong police forces rushed to the scene, managing to arrest the suspect and recover the knife used in the assault. The injured man was swiftly taken to hospital in Patras, where he remains in critical condition.
The 67-year-old perpetrator is currently in custody at the detention facilities of Patras Security, as authorities work to determine the circumstances that led to the violent confrontation.
