Massacre in Syria! Over 1,000 Dead, the West Remains Silent Waiting for ‘Business’ with Jihadists

Syria

In Syria, jihadists who have seized power appear to be conducting purges. The West remains silent as significant ‘business’ is being prepared in Syria following the overthrow of Assad.

The de facto Syrian authorities announced on Saturday that they are working to ‘restore order’ in western Syria, a stronghold of Bashar al-Assad’s supporters, where over a thousand people have lost their lives in clashes that have now entered their fourth day.

Among them, according to the NGO Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, were 745 civilians from the Alawite community.

These are the deadliest incidents since a coalition of rebels and jihadists under the radical Sunni Islamist organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) took power on December 8. The interim president, Ahmad Sara, leader of HTS, referred today to ‘challenges’ that were ‘expected’ to arise, while also calling for national unity in a video he distributed.
