Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, speaking to reporters after Tuesday’s Cyprus issue meeting in Geneva, asserted that “the only solution is the reunification of the island.” He emphasized dialogue as a key to fostering trust, adding, “We anticipate another five-party meeting by the end of July.”
On the sidelines of the talks, Gerapetritis held a bilateral meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Diplomatic sources report that the two assessed the day’s discussions explored ways to enhance the implementation of agreed points, and discussed global and regional issues, notably Ukraine and the Middle East, including Syria.
The ministers are set to reconvene at the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Summit on April 3-4.
