Greek Australian filmmaker and playwright Alex Lykos makes his stand-up comedy debut at this year’s Sydney Comedy Festival at the Factory Theatre tonight Friday 25 April 2025, with Friday and Saturday shows reportedly sold out.
Known for Aussie films Alex & Eve (Netflix), Me & My Left Brain (STAN), and successful theatre productions, including The Alex & Eve Trilogy, and his recent documentary Disconnect Me, Lykos is now venturing into the brutal and raw world of stand-up comedy with his show Neanderthal, “a bold and unique show that delves into and unpacks the inner-workings of the male.”
According to the Sydney Comedy Festival, Lykos explores how men truly think and the impact it has on their relationships with women and their offspring. This no-holds-barred performance is not only hilarious but also confronting and thought-provoking.
