U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt laid a wreath at sea to honour those who have died defending democracy.
"As our countries celebrate 200 years of friendship, [I am] honored to lay a wreath at sea for those who have fought to defend the values and passion for democracy that unite us," the ambassador said.
"We're committed to upholding these ideals so the flame of democracy always burns bright!" he added.
