Another 12 Croats and one Greek from the second group arrested for the bloody events in Nea Philadelphia and the murder of 29-year-old Michalis Katsouris were sentenced to pre-trial detention. The second group of 40 hooligans (39 Croats and a 27-year-old Greek) was led under draconian security measures by the three investigators at the former Evelpidon School.

The investigative process continues for the rest of the accused. At the same time, obtaining biological material (DNA) from the defendants is expected to begin to find the perpetrator of the murder of Michalis Katsouris.

Yesterday, Friday, after their confession, 30 arrested hooligans were remanded in custody. In particular, 28 Croats, one Greek and one Albanian, were remanded in custody. All 30 categorically denied participating in the bloody incidents and the fatal wounding of Michalis Katsouris.

During their testimonies yesterday, the 30 remanded hooligans claimed they were in the wrong place at the wrong time and did not participate in the incidents. All involved have almost the same line of defence, which does not convince investigators, as they have significant gaps and are contrary to the evidence.

One in custody claimed that he went to the incident scene after seeing shouts and flares thrown outside the AEK stadium.

"Dead children don't leave their homes": Michalis' brother asks for justice

"I want justice to be served for my brother," said the brother of the murdered man, Michalis Katsouri, who appeared on Saturday before the 25 regular investigators and declared a representation in support of the charge accompanied by his lawyers, Stavros Georgopoulos and Christos Mavromatis.

The victim's brother submitted a memorandum request to the investigator requesting the performance of specific investigative acts "to collect and preserve the evidence as well as to ensure the traces of the crime and to investigate the commission of other criminal acts."

In particular, the victim's brother requested:

• To collect and make available to the interrogation all the video footage from the cameras of the border entry stations of the defendants as well as the toll stations they passed through until they arrived in Attica,

• To collect the video footage from the "SURBAN CORINTH" stations " DUKISSIS PLAKENTIAS", "PERISSOS", "IRINI", "PEFKAKIA",

• To retrieve all data (messages, photos, incoming and outgoing calls and video footage) from the electronic devices seized from the accused,

• To put at the disposal of the interrogation all the information related to the tragic event and the presence of the accused in Greece - conversations, reports and intercommunications that have been recorded in the police telephone centre,

• To investigate if accommodation in Greece had been rented and by whom,

• To call witnesses from the victims and the police for the full investigation of the circumstances of the murderous attack by the defendants,

• To remove the telephone secrecy from the devices that have already been confiscated and are attributed to the accused, to establish whether the foreign accused were talking to Greek nationals and when the communication between them began,

• To put at your disposal the conclusion of the sworn administrative examination, already being carried out by the Hellenic Police,

The victim's brother points out that he now relies on and trusts only the Greek Justice "for the complete clarification of the case and the attribution of responsibility to those who causally contributed to the creation of conditions that led to the brutal murder of my brother."
