The Holy Church of Agios Georgios in Kato Mitrousi was vandalised and desecrated.
The walls, door, windows and the image of Saint George at the gate of the Agios Giorgios church in Kato Mitrousi, Serres, were desecrated with mud and coffee!
"On Saturday, I saw the mess in the church. It was like a knife in my heart. My soul hurts, I came and cried," said Father Ioannis, vicar of the church, to epiloges.tv.
The police were notified by Father Ioannis, who also filed a lawsuit against the yet-to-be-identified perpetrators.
The church has been targeted by vandals for days. Recently, the rope of the bell tower was cut.
