The drugs, originating from South America, were packed into 50 separate packages and were detected with the assistance of Max, a specially trained detection dog. The container’s final destination was Piraeus.

The operation was conducted by the Independent Authority of Public Revenue (AADE) in coordination with the Narcotics Subdivision of the Directorate for Countering Organized Crime, the Coast Guard, and the Financial Crimes Unit under the National Economy and Finance Ministry.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the shipment to trace its intended recipients and any potential criminal networks involved.
