Trump Rejects Past Failures, Declares U.S. Will ‘Own’ Gaza

During a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Donald Trump made a groundbreaking statement regarding the future of Gaza. Rejecting past policies, he announced that Hamas would not regain control and that the U.S. would “own” Gaza, advocating for a fresh approach to Middle East stability.

Trump emphasized that 1.7 million Palestinians would be relocated to Egypt and Jordan, insisting that failed past strategies should not be repeated. He envisioned Gaza as an international hub, attracting people from around the world and transforming into the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

When questioned about a two-state solution, Trump clarified that his focus was on abandoning ineffective policies rather than endorsing or rejecting specific frameworks. He and Netanyahu also expressed optimism about Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with Israel, a move that could reshape the region.

While critics may call Trump’s plan radical, he countered that the real failure was the Oslo Accords, which had shaped U.S. policy for decades without delivering peace. The longstanding strategy of territorial concessions and Palestinian self-rule, he argued, had not achieved its goals, making bold new solutions necessary.
