A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Aliveri, Evia, on Thursday evening, shaking the region and alarming residents. The tremor, also felt in Attica, originated from a submarine rupture. While no damage has been reported, authorities are closely monitoring the situation. Seismologist Efthymis Lekkas reassured the public, stating that aftershocks are expected but there is no immediate cause for concern. As a precaution, all schools in the Municipality of Kimi Aliveri will remain closed on Friday.
