A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Aliveri, Evia, on Thursday evening, shaking the region and alarming residents. The tremor, also felt in Attica, originated from a submarine rupture. Seismologist Efthymis Lekkas reassured the public, stating that aftershocks are expected but there is no immediate cause for concern.
