While overall births in Greece have declined since 1990, a new report reveals a fivefold surge in births among women aged 40 and older, now representing 8-9% of all births. This trend is attributed to delayed childbirth, a larger population of older women of reproductive age, and advancements in assisted reproductive technologies.
