Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati met during the 79th UN General Assembly to discuss Lebanon’s stability and regional security. Mitsotakis emphasised the need for de-escalation to prevent conflict from spreading, while expressing support for a 21-day ceasefire proposal. Both leaders highlighted the importance of international cooperation to address Lebanon’s challenges and ensure lasting peace in the region.
