The pilot phase of Greece's Digital Work Card will commence on Wednesday for the tourism and food service sectors. This measure, which aims to enhance worker protection by monitoring real-time working hours and ensuring fair compensation, will be fully implemented by March 1, 2025. The initiative, currently in use for 750,000 employees in various industries, is expected to extend coverage to approximately 1.5 million workers once it includes the food service and tourism sectors. During the interim period, the Ministry of Labour will conduct webinars to assist businesses with the transition.
