Greek Parliament to Approve Defense Procurement Program for Black Hawk Helicopters and Advanced Fighter Jets

Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias outlined the ambitious Agenda 2030 plan, emphasizing the country’s procurement program for 35 Black Hawk helicopters and the goal of acquiring 200 modern fighter jets by 2030. With a focus on strengthening Greece’s defense capabilities, the plan also includes enhancing the navy fleet and fostering the domestic defense industry’s role in autonomous systems and missile defense. Dendias emphasized the importance of transitioning to 4.5- and 5th-generation aircraft while phasing out older models, highlighting the nation’s commitment to modernizing its armed forces
