Greeks living abroad will soon be able to obtain their passports through a digital process, following the approval of article 60 in Law No. 5143/2024 by the Greek Parliament. This legislation aims to streamline passport issuance and reduce processing times, thanks to the collaboration of key government officials, including Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis and Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou.
