A 45-year-old German tourist was airlifted to safety after being rescued from the Samaria Gorge in Crete. The hiker, aiming to summit Gingilos, encountered difficulties and activated a rescue operation. He was found and airlifted to Chania General Hospital, exhausted but in good health.
