In response to new short-term rental policies announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Airbnb has expressed its commitment to working with the Greek government. Valentina Reino, Airbnb’s Head of Public Policy for Southern Europe, highlighted the collaboration aimed at addressing challenges in tourism-heavy neighborhoods of Athens, ensuring a balance between hospitality benefits and local community needs. Since 2021, Airbnb has been sharing critical data with the Greek Independent Authority of Public Revenue to support these efforts.
