Greece to Introduce Voluntary Military Service Program for Women with Incentive Benefits

The Greek Ministry of Defense is set to introduce a framework for voluntary military service for women, offering incentives to encourage participation outside of traditional military academy routes. Currently, women serve as officers and NCOs in the army, navy, air force, and coast guard, but only through academy graduation. The new program, expected by mid-2025, builds on past initiatives, potentially providing bonuses and employment benefits to women in national defense roles.
