Greece's tax authority to issue AFM tax ID numbers for children under 12

Starting November 11, Greece's tax authority will automatically issue tax identification numbers (AFM) to children under 12, expanding the process to all minors. The initiative will streamline administrative tasks and is projected to benefit an estimated 700,000 minors. Parents will be notified via email and through the AADE digital portal, with no requirement to file taxes for their children.

Greece Expects €830 Million in Tax Revenue from Short-Term Rentals in 2024
