The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) reported a 16.3% increase in infectious disease cases in Greece for 2023, according to preliminary data from the National Public Health Organization (EODY). While influenza cases dropped by 23.6% and no measles cases were reported, significant rises in salmonellosis and tuberculosis were observed. Conversely, SARS-CoV-2 infections decreased by 77.2%, with Attiki showing the highest rates for several diseases, highlighting ongoing public health challenges in the country.
