President Katerina Sakellaropoulou visited the historic Panagia Soumela Monastery in Imathia, where she toured the site and learned about the revered icon rescued from Trebizond after the 1922 Asia Minor disaster. The icon, now housed at the monastery, is celebrated annually on August 15.
