A powerful 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Turkey on Wednesday morning, centered 45 kilometers east of Malatya, with a depth of 9 kilometers, according to initial reports from the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre. The quake was felt in surrounding cities, including Diyarbakir and Elazig. Fortunately, officials report no calls for assistance have been recorded so far.
