Third Round of Voting for Greek President Set for Thursday After Deadlock in Second Round

The election of Greece’s new President will head to a third round of voting on Thursday after the second round failed to produce a winner. In the previous rounds, none of the candidates, including Konstantinos Tassoulas from New Democracy, Tassos Giannitsis from PASOK, Louka Katseli from SYRIZA, and Kostas Kyriakou from Niki, secured the necessary majority. If the third round also ends without a winner, a fourth vote will take place on February 12.
