Greece's left-wing Syriza party is on the brink of collapse, potentially losing its position as the main opposition force and paving the way for the socialist Pasok party to take its place. Around 373 million EU citizens are eligible to vote in the European Parliament elections from June 6-9. The elections will determine the 720 members of the only directly elected body of the EU, which negotiates laws, approves budgets, and has significant oversight powers.
