The National Organization for Provision of Health Services (EOPYY) will investigate online medical prescriptions dating back to 2014, targeting excessive and unwarranted prescriptions that have led to significant financial losses. EOPYY governor Theano Karpodini announced that penalties, including fines and prescription bans, have already been imposed on involved doctors and pharmacists. The inspections, supported by real-time monitoring and digital systems, aim to recover lost funds and protect patients from fraudulent practices.
